Happy 10th Birthday ANNA - July??? 19

OK, so I'm only 1 month late in posting Anna's 10th Birthday but how timely that it's the 19th today! :) She, unlike her mother, probably will never run late as she is usually one step ahead of everyone when it comes to most things....a good trait of hers that I need to remind myself of (must get it from her dad's side of the family). As much as she is punctual, Anna is easy going and rolls with whatever comes her way (Thanks, Anna for being so understanding!) Being the oldest she gets a few more responsibilities and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She has a big heart and one that has a desire to serve. I believe God will use that servant heart in big ways in her life.

This was her breakfast choice...hm, hm...(AKA: dessert)...a special recipe from her cousin. Choc. chip pancake, scoop of ice cream, whipping cream, topped with strawberries & choc. syrup! I have to admit it's pretty yummy! Right up her alley...she's also inherited a sweet tooth from yours truly!

So Anna's big surprise for her 10th Birthday was a trip west to stay with Grandpa & Grandma for 2 weeks. She had a blast and was not ready to come home. I flew out to join her the 2nd week and enjoyed time with her and attended my 20th year class reunion. When she came to pick me up from the airport I thought she'd come running to me with a big hug saying she missed me soooo much.....NOT! Yep, that's the kind of girl she is....let me tell you, the tears were MUCH bigger when she had to leave then the hugs I got when she picked me up.

And this is Brandy, my parents new St. Bernard "puppy." As you can see, he's rather large and only 4 months old! He's the sweetest thing and very easy to get attached to. Anna had the touch as she sneakily led him into his kennel every night. She also got to do lots of swimming and feeding calves. The calf-feeding highlight was that a calf was born on 7/7/09 that had a shape of a 7 on it's forehead!

One more highlight for Anna (and me) was that my mom, sisters and nieces went to get a pedicure together! Afterwards we treated ourselves to ice cream. What a fun afternoon! I'm thinking we need to make it a tradition - next time we'll make sure Kate is along!

So Happy Birthday Anna! Wow, can't believe you're in the double digits! We love you and pray that this year will bring many blessings your way and that you will grow in the grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
